It was the dealbreaker sadly, had to have that feature. I just knew it wasn’t the actual site, so assumed malicious or piracy. they have downloads for a bunch of stuff and whenever you search for downloads for something their site will probably pop up. If you are in the line of work that requires you to do this dozens of times in a row for each image you work on, it adds up really quick, you have to sidestep every single time and it is a waste of time when you can do it elsewhere. its not a pirated version but might have viruses. So it is a bad idea for a program to expect someone to go and save a document as a file that they won't ever open again, just to import it into another program, or do the cutting of the unwanted areas yourself which either way adds extra steps to the whole operation, when they could have done the same thing in another program with a quick cut and paste.Įven dumb little art programs I've written for personal use in the past supported this feature, so I am shocked that it didn't have that from the very beginning!! Quickly pasting the layers in, mixing them, etc. Transparency drop-in from copy/paste arguably the most important feature to have since you would be copying from other programs that you are using, which many artists use a handful of different tools. You can reposition the ruler line by hovering on the line itself and then pressing Ctrl + click + drag. It would then show a drop down window, select the on in the bottom 'New Symmetric Ruler' then you're good to go. Yeah, its lame that you can't do that since that is now something just about any program would support, except this particular and apparently very popular version of SAI, which is why i didn't end up buying it. Haha It's in the layers panels, click the perspective ruler icon, the one beside the masking tool.
